On the heels of the San Bernardo shooting Obama is going to seek executive action to “control” the rampage of gun violence in American schools, and abroad. The Democrats don’t have a majority in Congress and with Republicans firmly against gun control measures Obama is expected to act on his own.
According to the WSJ on Monday Obama will meet with US Attorney General Loretta Lynch “to consider measures aimed at reducing gun violence, a conversation that comes as he prepares to announce new executive actions in the coming days.”
Once his options have been discussed with Ms. Lynch, Obama “could lay out multiple executive actions as soon as next week, and administration officials have confirmed that recommendations for the president are nearing completion.”
According to a press release on Friday morning Obama said, “I get too many letters from parents, and teachers, and kids to sit around and do nothing.” I don’t know if you check your Facebook news feed but I’m positive Obama has gotten more letters from supporters of the second Amendment than he has from parents afraid for their children’s safety. Obama has on multiple occasions mentioned that tightening gun laws will help to improve the situation. An admission that his way will be best for America, just like obamacare.
Furthermore at the press release he mentioned “We know that we can’t stop every act of violence. But what if we tried to stop even one?” Obama added. “What if Congress did something—anything—to protect our kids from gun violence?”
“The president has made clear he’s not satisfied with where we are and expects that work to be completed soon,” the White House spokesman added.
Is Obama running out of time to push through more tyrannical rules on the American people? Or does he really think by signing his name that he will end violence in America.
